St. Pete Season Opener

The 2026 USF2000 season kicks off this weekend at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, and all eyes are on Wesley Gundler as he launches his championship campaign on one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar.

Wesley will be racing Friday and Sunday, competing on the tight, unforgiving streets of downtown St. Pete—where concrete walls, narrow racing lines, and zero margin for error separate the field. The St. Petersburg street circuit is known for testing driver precision, racecraft, and composure, making it a true proving ground to open the season.

For 2026, Wesley is driving for ENVE Motorsports, marking an important step forward in his open-wheel career. The pairing follows a strong offseason and successful testing, with ENVE providing a technically focused environment designed to help drivers perform and develop at the highest level of the Road to Indy ladder.
