Indy Grit: A Three-Race Climb

An encouraging weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with clear progression in both performance and consistency. After a Race 1 compromised by contact, Wesley delivered back-to-back top-10 results in Races 2 and 3, demonstrated pace within reach of the leading group, and climbed to P10 in the season standings.

Wesley qualified just outside the top ten and within reach of the leading group, setting his best time on lap 7 of 13. The session gave the team a strong platform to build on across all three races.

Race 1 — Friday, 5/8 Finish: P18

Early contact, suspension damage, full recovery effort.

A car ahead spun and, while rejoining the track, made contact with the rear-right corner of Wesley's car — damaging the suspension and control arms. The ENVE crew turned the car around quickly and got Wesley back on track. Running well down on laps, he still gained positions on his return — a frustrating opener answered with determination.

Race 2 — Saturday, 5/9 Finish: P9

Back of the grid to top 10 in the rain.

Saturday morning brought wet conditions and wet tires. Car issues on the warm-up laps dropped Wesley from his P11 grid spot to last by the green flag. From P20, he delivered a controlled yet aggressive drive — working through the field with confidence across the full 15 laps. A standout performance and a clear step up in racecraft.

Race 3 — Saturday, 5/9 Finish: P8 Best of the Weekend

Pace matched the leaders. Three positions gained.

The track dried as expected for the weekend's final race. Wesley maintained strong pace throughout the 15-lap run, with lap times running very close to the leaders. With fewer yellow-flag interruptions, an even stronger result was on the table. P8 closed out the weekend on a high.
